Evald Knut Baltzar Kallstenius, born 07.03.1898 in Stockholm, died 1957, he was a son of the artist Gottfried Kallstenius.
1917-1918 - studied at Caleb Althins art school
1918-1924 - studied at the Royal Academy of Fine Arts in Stockholm
1925 - he won the Academy’s Royal Medal in 1925
1926 - he was awarded the State Travelling Scholarship. This scholarship took him and his studies to France, Holland, Belgium, Italy and Spain.
He held several solo exhibitions at Gummesons Art Gallery and at Lilla Galleriet in Stockholm, as well as taking part in exhibitions with Swedens General Art Association and Swedens Artists Association, (Sveriges allmänna konstförening and Svenska konstnärernas förening).
His works are generally light filled landscapes from the Stockholm area often with views of water and with influences of his father’s work.
